Relating to Plants: lessons in impermanence

  • Werkshack Gallery 481 25th Street Oakland, CA, 94612 United States (map)

Werkshack resident artisans Sigrid Hubbell @bouquetimprov and Elaine Hamblin @kosa_arts invite you to an installation of current work of our practices with botanical materials.

Sigrid Hubbell - Awestruck by the endless diversity, adaptations, and resilience of the natural world, Sigrid spends the majority of her time in her urban garden cultivating flowers, herbs, food, medicines, and habitat. Growing and preserving the botanicals that comprise her works, she observes the vivid lessons revealed by natural rhythms. On view are pressed floral collages on paper as well as botanical installations

Elaine Hamblin - Studies in Botanical Printing and Dyeing. This body of work represents an exploration of printing using plants and plant-derived pigments.
